On October 22 & 23, 2007 the P³G Consortium held its meeting in San Diego, California USA two days immediately preceding the ASHG 2007 Conference. All P³G members were invited to join and take part in this exciting scientific event. P³G aims to facilitate international harmonization between major population biobanks and longitudinal studies, as well as, to offer a focal point for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
P³G held two general plenary sessions one at the beginning and at the end of the meeting, where participants from all IWGs will shared their progress and discussed themes of interest across various disciplines. The meeting closed with a Steering Committee Meeting on Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007 from 2:00pm to 3:00pm.
IWG (International Working Groups) Sessions
On Monday, October 22 from 1:30pm to 5:00pm and Tuesday, October 23 from 8:30 to 1:45pm, were holding our working sessions. For this meeting, we had decided to arrange the format of the working sessions by topics (Topic Sessions) rather than by IWG 1, 2, 3 and 4. Over the two days, there were 12 separate Topic Sessions which ran simultaneously in blocks of 3 sessions at a time. All participants were able to attend whichever session was of interest to them regardless of their background and expertise.
